The 21st century has come of age and can finally do all those shocking things it’s been dying to do… not that we need any encouragement.

For the first time, people born in the 21st century – that’s 2000 and onward for those of us with a few more boozing miles on the clock – can enjoy Guilty Pleasures at KOKO firsthand. Turning 18 in ’18 means, quite simply, that you can get in!

So what tunes from your misspent youth or idyllic childhood can you expect to hear once you walk through those hallowed doors into our celestial pop kingdom? We pick our fave naughty Noughties bangers that we LOVE to play.

BRITNEY TOXIC

Britney Spears – Toxic
Too high, can’t come down? No such thing where Britney’s concerned. Higher, baby!

MIKA Grace Kelly

MIKA – Grace Kelly
You will sing this out loud and you will struggle to reach the high notes.

BLACK EYED PEAS pump it

Black Eyed Peas – Pump It
Before will.i.am was spinning around in a chair in The Voice he was screaming over a souped-up version of the Pulp Fiction theme tune. You had to be there. Hang on, you can be there! We play it!

sugababes-freak-like-me

Sugababes – Freak Like Me
“Let me lay it on the line…” They’d probably nick your dinner money and criticise your choice in footwear but has there ever been a girl group so exciting as Sugababes? (The answer is no.)

Justin Timberlake Rock Your Body

Justin Timberlake – Rock Your Body
We don’t encourage everyone to get “nekkid by the end of this song” but who are we to stop you if the fancy takes?

lady gaga bad romance

Lady Gaga – Bad Romance
Ma-ma-ma-mahh! Gaga: bad at romance, 💯 at pop.

pussycat-dolls-dont-cha-single-cover-2005

Pussycat Dolls – Don’t Cha
They’re never all gonna fit in that… is it a car? Whatever it is.

Panjabi MC – Mundian Tp Bach Ke

Hi this is a banger. Thanks.

shakira hips don't lie

Shakira – Hips Don’t Lie
Generally underrated as a protest song about the barbaric torture technique of wiring up pelvises to lie detector tests, Shakira (Shakira) and Wyclef really brought the banger magic to this one.

Bodyrockers

Bodyrockers – I Like the Way You Move
This one goes out to all the people who stand at the back kinda shuffling until this song goes on and then WHOOMP, it goes off.

outkast hey ya

Outkast – Hey Ya
“Shake it like a Polaroid picture” and please don’t ask what a Polaroid is – you’ll make us feel old. Just go with it.

rihanna umbrella

Rihanna – Umbrella
Splish splash. What did we ever do without RiRi, eh? I’ll tell you what we did – we cried every day wishing she would be invented. And then she was!
